Chili Cookoff

Let us know what type of chili you’d like to bring, what sides or plasticware / paper bowls / etc. you can donate, or how you’d like to pitch in!

Please join the Foundation at our 3rd annual Chili Cook Off, Thursday April 23rd, 2020. This is a very casual and laid back event where we simply gather for an evening of community, hanging out, and of course cutthroat chili competition.

As with all of our events, it will not be a success without your help. Here’s what we need:

  • Heavy duty extension cords (it would be great if these could be donated for this event, rather than loaned)
  • Paper / disposable bowls
  • Plastic forks, spoons & knives
  • Napkins
  • Non-alcoholic drinks
  • Crackers
  • Cheese for shredding
  • Sour cream or crema
  • Chips & salsa or guacamole
  • You – volunteer a couple of hours of your time on the night of the cook off to help us set up beforehand, or clean up afterwards.

Last year’s overall winner was a Texas-Style Red Chili created by one of our Community Dads.

Other popular styles have included Chili Colorado, Colorado-Style Pork Green Chili (suck it New Mexico!), and Cincinnati Style Red. 

We can always use more vegetarian or vegan options in any of these styles.

Bring your chili in a slow cooker or instant pot with a ladle.

Tickets are only $7 / person for as much chili, sides, and non-alcoholic drinks you can eat!
